eBusiness Registration

In reducing human interference and turnaround time associated with business registration, GCNet deployed a business registration portal for the Registrar General’s Department (RGD) that allows for the online registration of businesses.

Of the total business registrations, online registrations at RGD saw a tremendous growth over the last 5 years.

The e-Registrar Portal is integrated with the GRA e-tax portal, and both make use of the Tax Identification Number (TIN) to distinguish portal users. A key feature of the business registration portal is the generation of an online business registration certificate (e-Certificate) designed to provide flexibility, transparency and accountability for Ghanaians and other users. This translates in the ease of company and business registration in Ghana.  Other public services facilitated by the e-Registrar include online name search and reservation, regulatory filing, change in particulars, conversions and e-Payments.
